Chatham, New Jersey (February 6, 2018) – Preferred Freezer Services (PFS), a global leader in advanced design and engineered temperature-controlled warehouses, starts off this busy year by overseeing the construction of its newest facility, Big Bear in Los Angeles. Big Bear will satisfy the demand for modern and efficient cold storage warehousing services in the competitive Los Angeles market. The new facility will be the company’s seventh in the Los Angeles area and thirty-eighth in the United States.

The newest warehouse, scheduled to open mid-year of 2018, will be located near Interstate 5 and just minutes from downtown Los Angeles. The state-of-the-art facility will cover an entire city block and will add over 90,000 pallet positions to the company’s
expanding footprint. The building will feature 32 dock doors and be over 500 feet wide. The new facility will have the capacity to store approximately 160MM pounds of product.
